Incoming Exchange Students

 

International students who wish to study abroad at CSUSB must be nominated by their university. 


Exchange Students

Once you have secured a nomination from your university, submit an application with the Center for International Studies and Programs based on your home institution:

 

CSU IP Students

Once you have been matched with CSUSB, you will receive additional information from the Education Abroad Office.


Requirements

All exchange students must have a minimum 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) out of 4.0. A minimum 2.5 GPA is recommended. You can use a GPA converter to determine your GPA if your home university does not use the 4.0 scale. 

Before you are admitted you will also be required to provide:

  • Proof of financial support
  • Proof of English language proficiency:
    • Undergraduate Students: TOEFL 61 (ibt); IELTS 5.5
    • Graduate Students: TOEFL 80 (ibt); IELTS 6
  • Unofficial transcripts (including an English translation, if needed)
  • A learning agreement form indicating your preferred course enrollments, signed by the academic authority at your home institution (be sure to include extra classes in case your top choices are not available)
