Plan and Submit a Proposal

To get started with your CSUSB-led program proposal, faculty and staff can make an appointment with the Director of Education Abroad.

Our office will help you to brainstorm ideas, map out contact hours, understand budgeting and risk management constraints, explore logistics planning options, and consider ways to make your program appealing to a wide range of CSUSB students. Meetings can be in-person or virtual.

An initial meeting is required for all first-time applicants before access to the proposal form is granted. Returning program leaders will receive a personalized application link or can email goabroad@csusb.edu to request application access.

The program proposal requires:

  • Program location and dates
  • Proposed program structure and content
  • Preliminary budgeting information
  • Preliminary safety information
  • Preliminary marketing information

For additional information, see the full listing of program proposal requirements.

Note, for programs that do not involve students enrolling in and earning credit for courses, do not submit a CSUSB-led program proposal. See instead “plan and submit a proposal for experiential programs.”
