CFP International Speakers

The College of Extended and Global Education (CEGE) is utilizing $15,000 in strategic funds to support three speakers (up to $5,000 each) from overseas to share their expertise, support institutional partnership building, and promote international learning opportunities.  To be eligible, departments must be actively involved in or wanting to support internationalization efforts, including global learning, study abroad, and international enrollments.  Please see below for additional information.

Submission Deadline: Applications to be submitted by 15 November 2024 for review and evaluation.  Awardees to be notified by 20 December 2024.  If funding remains, a second call will be made on 15 January 2025.  ALL funds must be spent by 01 June 2025.

  • Proposed Speaker Information
  • Proposal including Proposed Itinerary
  • Budget Plan 
  • Supporting Documents
    • Letter of Interest (prospective speaker)
    • Letter of Support (hosting college/dean)   
Selection process:
  • Initial Screening: The Center for International Studies and Programs (CISP) reviews applications for completeness and eligibility.
  • Committee Review: The CIA Subcommittee on Education Abroad evaluates the applications based on pre-determined criteria (listed below).
  • Decision: CISP notifies selected applicants and their department chairs via email on or before 20 December 2024.
  • Award Disbursement: Funds released upon confirmation of the speaker’s visit.

Post-Participation Requirements 
  • A post-event report must be submitted within 45 days of the speaker's visit, and it should address the following:
    • Outcomes of the visit, including lessons learned, future opportunities, photographs, and testimonials; and
    • An accounting of how the funds were utilized.
