Can I Study Abroad with CSUSB?

CSUSB Students | Our study abroad programs are designed for matriculated, degree-seeking CSUSB students! Participation is for every major but does require a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Study Abroad participants may not have any outstanding "Incomplete" grades on their transcript. Veterans will require program approval from the campus certifying official for program participation, and may be restricted in using benefits for some program types. Some CSUIP programs allow students to bring dependent minors with them (contact CSUIP for additional information). CSUSB students receive priority registration over all other categories of applicant. 

CSUSB Faculty & Staff | Faculty and staff can participate on CSUSB-led programs only and must pay the same Application Fee and Program Fee as any other participant. Faculty and staff are not required to register for the associated course or pay tuition, but they are required to participate in all activities on the program itinerary (academic or otherwise). 

CSUSB Alumni | Alumni may participate in CSUSB-led programs only and must pay the same Application Fee and Program Fee as any other participant. Alumni are also required to register for the associated course and pay tuition and campus fees, and they are required to participate in all activities on the program itinerary (academic or otherwise). These requirements hold regardless of whether or not the participant is interested in receiving academic credit for participation. 

CSU Student (not CSUSB) | Students from other CSU campuses may participate in CSUSB-led programs. They pay the same Application Fee and Program Fee as any other participant. Non-CSUSB students are also required to register for the associated course and pay tuition and campus fees, and they are required to participate in all activities on the program itinerary (academic or otherwise). These requirements hold regardless of whether or not the participant is interested in receiving academic credit for participation. Note that it may be possible to register for courses at your campus and at CSUSB for the same term. Students will receive a CSUSB transcript to transfer credit to their home institution. 

Transitory Student (non-CSU) | Students from non-CSU campuses may participate in CSUSB-led programs. They pay the same Application Fee and Program Fee as any other participant. Non-CSU students are also required to register for the associated course and pay tuition and campus fees, and they are required to participate in all activities on the program itinerary (academic or otherwise). These requirements hold regardless of whether or not the participant is interested in receiving academic credit for participation. Students will receive a transcript from CSUSB to transfer credit to their home institution. 

Community Member | Community members may participate in CSUSB-led programs. They pay the same Application Fee and Program Fee as any other participant. Community members are also required to register for the associated course and pay tuition and campus fees, and they are required to participate in all activities on the program itinerary (academic or otherwise). These requirements hold regardless of whether or not the participant is interested in receiving academic credit for participation.
