CSUSB Travel Policies & Guidelines
Travel forms and procedures are overseen by the CSUSB Travel Department. International Travel policy requires that all international travel for faculty and staff CSUSB-related business receive approval from the individual's VP or Dean, the campus president, and sometimes the provost, and the issue of international travel insurance (allow at least 30 days). Questions about international travel insurance can be directed to the Office of Risk Management.
The Education Abroad Office also recommends that all CSUSB-affiliated international travelers enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP), a free service for U.S. citizens and nationals. Benefits of enrolling in STEP include:
- Receive important notifications about safety conditions in your destination country
- Help the U.S. Embassy contact you in an emergency (natural disaster, civil unrest, family emergency, and so forth)
