Info Session Descriptions
We have four session themes to choose from. Presentations also change throughout the year, dependent on upcoming deadlines and new program opportunities. Time for Q&A follows each presentation. Join us for one session, or for the whole series!- Getting Started | Learn about why so many students choose to study abroad, the different types of study abroad programs, how to search for the program that is right for you, how to apply to study abroad, how much it costs, and when to start planning your participation.
- Academic Planning | Discover how to study abroad without adding extra semesters to your graduation timeline. We will cover how to find a program to fulfil requirements for your major, and what to pay attention to when searching the schedule of classes at a host institution, as well as providing a step-by-step review of how to complete the Credit Transfer Agreement Form.
- Upcoming Opportunities | An overview of all study abroad programs that are currently accepting applications – including Direct Enroll programs, CSUIP programs, Exchange programs, and CSUSB-Led programs. Learn about special features, costs, and application deadlines and get answers to questions about the programs you have been considering.
- Financial Planning | Join the Education Abroad Office for an in-depth overview of the costs associated with study abroad, and the basics of using financial aid to pay for study abroad related costs. We will also cover strategies for writing a winning study abroad scholarship application, and the deadlines to apply.
